Luxury Aluminium Pergola build in Cheshire
The Brief
The client wanted to introduce a defined outdoor relaxation space within their existing garden, something contemporary, low maintenance and suitable for year-round use.
With a £20,000 budget, the focus was on installing a high-quality aluminium pergola to house a hot tub, supported by luxury patio landscaping and structured planting to soften the space and enhance privacy.
The aim was to create a refined, sheltered outdoor zone that felt architectural yet integrated seamlessly into the surrounding garden.
A porcelain patio was installed beneath and around the structure to create a durable, low-maintenance surface suitable for spa use. Surrounding planting beds were introduced to frame the structure, soften hard edges and introduce depth and texture

The original area lacked structure and defined purpose.
Following excavation, base preparation and installation, the space has been transformed into a contemporary outdoor retreat centred around the pergola and spa.
Build Process
The project began with excavation and preparation of the sub-base to ensure long-term stability for both the pergola and hot tub.
Concrete foundations were installed to support the aluminium structure. Porcelain paving was laid with precise levels and fall to ensure correct drainage.
Utility access for the hot tub was carefully planned, and perimeter planting beds were constructed to frame the space.
End Result
The completed project delivers a refined outdoor relaxation space featuring a contemporary aluminium pergola, integrated spa area and structured planting.
The clean architectural lines of the pergola contrast with layered greenery, creating balance between modern design and natural texture.
This £20K installation demonstrates how a well-designed pergola can transform a garden into a functional and visually striking outdoor living space.
