Full Garden Design and Renovation Project
The Brief
This garden design and renovation in Formby, Lancashire, was a full transformation project, combining luxury outdoor living with practical family use.
The client wanted a high-end garden that could be used for entertaining, while also creating a dedicated space for their children to enjoy and play.
The brief was to design a garden that balanced style and functionality. The client wanted a premium, contemporary finish with standout features such as a firepit and porcelain patio, while still incorporating a usable lawn area for family life.
The project included a large porcelain patio, a bespoke firepit area, exotic planting around the borders and a freshly turfed lawn designed to replicate a small football pitch for the children to enjoy.

The original garden lacked structure and purpose.
We designed a structured, modern garden layout with distinct zones for relaxing, entertaining and play. The space was carefully planned to feel open and balanced, while ensuring each area flowed seamlessly into the next.
The Build Process
The project began with careful excavation and groundwork preparation to create a solid, long-lasting base across the entire garden. Levels were set to ensure proper drainage and a seamless flow between each area.
A reinforced sub-base was installed to support the porcelain patio and key features, followed by precise installation of paving to achieve a clean, high-end finish.
The firepit area was constructed as a central focal point, while planting beds were built around the perimeter to introduce depth, structure and contrast.
Finally, the lawn area was prepared and professionally turfed to create a durable, level surface, forming a dedicated space for family use and a football-style playing area for the children.
End Result
The finished garden delivers the perfect blend of luxury and practicality. The porcelain paving and firepit create a high-end entertaining space, while the lawn provides a fun, usable area for family life all year round.
